On Sep 7, 2015, Mr. Daniel Blessing (DJ Danny), a famous DJ from MET 107 FM and a well-known MC from TV programs such as Channel 9, Thairath TV and PPTV came to the campus to offer a lecture in the subject of “MAS230(bi): Introduction to Public Speaking” which was taught by A.Pakamon Sasatanun. DJ Danny shared his knowledge and experience about the speaking techniques in order to become a DJ and the radio show production. He talked about the speaking skills and how to get prepared in order to become an MC both for TV programs and various events. Also, he explained about the differences between being a DJ for the radio media and being an MC for the TV media. In this activity, the students were given the opportunity to practice being a DJ on the radio and an MC in the classroom, allowing them to gain new experience and enjoy the activity.
On Sep 23, 2015, Ms. Napaphat Limvarakul, the Director of Research and Insights at Omnicom Media Group, came to the campus give a lecture covering the subject of “ADV220(bi)/MKT220(bi): Consumer Behavior” under the topic of “Consumer Insight”. In this subject, the Communication Arts students and the Business Administration students studied together which was taught by A.Pakamon Sasatanun. Ms. Napaphat L. explained the approach to analyze consumer behaviors for creating the success of a business. She pointed out the directions of customer behavior trends. In this activity, Ms. Napaphat L. allowed the students to participate in the analysis of consumer behavior through a fun game and win a prize. As a result, 37 students were very enthusiastic and paid attention to this activity.
On Oct 7, 2015, A.Pakamon Sasatanun, who taught class MAS230(bi): Introduction to Public Speaking, organized “The 2015 Debate Competition” at the Bangkok campus. This event was a competition inside the class with 25 students. A. Thanasak Muangcharoen (Director of the Library) and A. Wanlapha Srithongphim (Director of Quality Assurance) were the judges of this competition. The objectives were to allow students to use the speaking techniques to persuade the audience to learn how to search for information in order to present material in the debate; to work as a team; and to use their wit to solve problems during the debate. Overall, the students understood the technique of public speaking, had more confidence when they had to speak in public and gained some great experience from participating in the competition.
